Yesterday turned out to be a really fun day. I decided to skive off working early by an hour or so to go ride the skatepark in Darwen while it was quiet, and we had a really good session. That place is so much fun when you’re the only people riding and there aren’t any kids on rollerblades or skateboards to get in your way.

At night we headed out for a curry at the Akash (where else?), and finished the evening (plus the early hours of the morning) off with a poker session, which was such a good laugh. My friends rock - first they teach me how to play the game exactly (despite much arguing between themselves over rules), and then they proceed to let me win all their money! How cool is that? ;)

I doubt I’ll have that kind of luck again though, but in the meantime I really need to get clued up on how to play the game so I don’t keep interrupting things with dumb questions :p

  3. I really thought this was one of the funniest nite’s we’d had in a long time and made a welcome change from getting back and all watching a movie in silence.
    There really wasn’t much money on the table but it was all good fun, the gambling element really added an edge to the evening, I’m well up for doing this again sometime but not right away otherwise we’ll kill it and my bank account! :D

    Funniest thing all nite was definately Wes’s referance to “Raiding a child’s chocolate box” which sounds all innocent now but at the time it was said it had a perverted overtone, man I laughed so hard my belly hurt!

    More players next time combined with Adam’s pr0 cocktail mixing skillz could result in some seriously funny moments, I’m looking forward to it already! :D
