Woke up to seriously shitty weather this morning and a desire to get out on my bike, so after checking up with Dan to see what it was like in Sheffield and then finding out it was sunny I headed over there for a few hours.

I really wanted to hit the wallride we rode last time, but it turns out that that particular spot is completely ruined (for the time being, anyway). The wallride is still there, but the forecourt is covered in glass and the run-up is screwed by the fact that they’ve cut the old roof off and just left it there. Great. We checked out Morrisons across the road to see what was there and there was a ton of weird stuff to ride. Loads of cobbled banks, low walls, that kind of stuff. That was fun so we stayed there for a good hour or so.

We sessioned a few other places and finished the day off outside some cinema or something which had really harsh walls and some steps to play on. I hit a manual I was really stoked to pull on this high skinny wall, and that sort of rounded the day off.

Oh, on the way home I took some photos at a few points along Snake Pass - and one thing I’ve learned from that is that you don’t want to mess with cows round there! I stopped in one place to shoot a couple of pics of some farmhouse and this bull came over with its entire family (?) and started to make the most unearthly noises at me. It was totally bizarre as I was the only person around for miles (no other cars or anything), and yet here were these like four or five normally docile creatures basically telling me to “move it, pal”, so I did sharpish :)
