Heh
Slashdot is usually 99% utter lameness, but every once in a while someone posts something vaguely amusing:
How should Buffy end?
( ) David Lynch Ending: The entire series was just a masterbatory fantasy for Xander. Somehow he still manages to lose an eye.
( ) Kubrick Ending: Calib chases Buffy around the hedge maze and ends up freezing to death.
( ) Spielberg Ending: Buffy is revived by alien robots in the year 3010 who create the illusion of Angel for one day and then they euthanize her.
( ) Lucas Ending: “Buffy, you’ve turned off your targetting computer! What’s wrong?”
( ) Joss Whedon Ending: The gangs careers’ suddenly end when they decide to write a sci-fi western.
Weekend, and RIP Buffy
Well, what can I say. The weekend was fairly uneventful. Back to normal I guess after having almost too much fun previously.
We did play some post-Akash poker on Friday night which was cool. Still finished damn late though (4am fs!), we’ll definitely have to start playing sooner next time otherwise it completely fucks everyone up for a couple of days.
Oh, and I lost. No sign of that beginner’s luck any more :(
The Hot Water Music gig in Leeds on Sunday was a no-go, on account of not really being in the mood to drive all that way and still feeling a bit hosed from the previous couple of nights. I think that’s the third time I’ve missed them now….
As for Buffy - the series definitely went out on a high note in my opinion. Some of the below could be considered spoiler-y so don’t click on ‘Read More’ if you haven’t seen it yet and don’t want to know ;)

811493: Security Update (Windows 2000)
A security issue has been identified that could allow an attacker to compromise a computer running Microsoft® Windows® 2000 and gain complete control over it. An attacker would need the ability to log onto the computer locally to carry out an attack.
Well duh.
