I went to Fry’s today to pick up a harddisk and a cable modem for a friend, and I think Fry’s have the whole American consumerism thing totally wired. The majority of the electronic equipment for sale is on one side of the store, and the actual checkout is right on the other side.
The fun part of the checkout process is the way in which they make you walk through rows and rows of pointless shit, like things that you’d never have come in there for in the first place such as snacks and junk food, but obviously people end up buying incidentally on the way out. It’s all so random, yet perfectly planned by the store owners to have people spend that little bit of extra cash on something they didn’t need. Goddamn corporates.
Speaking of randomness: Abercrombie and Fitch, Nate Wessel, what the fuck?
I saw Pretty Girls Make Graves last week, they were really good. The band looked real tired, but the set they played was 100% tight and most of them (especially the lead singer) looked like they were having a lot of fun. I have photos (too many in fact) which I’ll upload at some point once I actually get around to sifting through them.
Also, my new bike is built and dialled, and I’m stoked again. Just need to actually do some riding now. Wouldn’t mind hitting Clairmont YMCA park tomorrow but believe it or not the weather is really shitty at the minute so it might not be dry enough.
I liked it!

Even funnier than that are … Edwins interview on BMXonline.com where he mentions the NSF. Then the NSF message board, where they reckon they’ve hit it big time. Idiots.
