Bargains
I’ve had some good luck recently when it comes to finding a bargain. Today I was riding past a book store that had a sale on, and I noticed they had Mat Hoffman’s autobiography ‘The Ride of My Life’ which I then picked up for just $7. Not only that, but a couple of weeks ago in a Thrift store I found A Minor Forest’s ‘Flemish Altruism’ in a rack with some random other CDs for just $2! But who would trade in such a great CD in the first place, that’s the weird thing.
Oh and today I saw something which I actually reckoned I would have come across before now - someone ‘riding’ a Segway scooter down the boardwalk along the beach. It looked stupid.
J. Robbins
Kinda bored today as I’m resting my ankle after working it pretty bad at the Home Avenue ditches yesterday (that place will kill you if you aren’t careful), so I’ve been catching up on a few things most notably of which is that J. Robbins now has his own site up, with some (brief) information his new band, ‘Channels’.
And while I’m here, Transmission 3000 has posted some awesome new live shows from the Oxes and GvsB just recently, check them out.
One Week and Counting…
I’ve left it way too long since my last update so now I’m in the unfortunate position of trying to cram what I’ve been up to over the last month or so into the space of a (reasonably) short update. I guess a picture tells a thousand words, so here’s a few links to some recent photos I’ve uploaded:
· La Jolla, San Diego
· Tijuana, Mexico
· Tucson, Tombstone and Bisbee, Arizona
The holiday period was actually fairly uneventful, most people having headed home to be with family meant that PB was like a ghost town especially in the evenings. New Year’s Eve was fairly cool though, me and Mick (who came to stay here for three weeks) went to some random party where everyone was dressed up super nice (apart from us, obviously), drank free beer, and made a mess of the place.
