This is too funny - check this story out over at Yahoo: “Passenger Detained Over Song Choice”.
Mann asked the driver to play “London Calling” by the Clash [..] Mann, 24, also asked the driver to play “Immigrant Song” by Led Zeppelin, which begins, “The hammer of the gods will drive our ships to new lands, to fight the horde singing and crying Valhalla, I’m coming!”
At least he had a halfway decent taste in music.
Oh, and I’ll buy a pint for the first person that can tell me who rode to that Zep track, and in which video.
This story reminds me of two things:
1) Getting stopped going to the USA with Wes and the airport secruity browsing the entire CD collection he was carrying and asking who these bands were. Why he needed to know was beyond us.
2) The guy who got arrested for texting Clash lyrics to a friend, apparenlty the mobile phone operator thought they were terrorist related and the man was whisked away by police before he knew what was going on. They appologised later but not before the story appeared in the Sun & on The Register!
