Its probably just pure luck that you got thru before (seeing that in the UK End you are a UK Citizen so they give your a blind eye generally) and in the US end they probably dont know how to read a UK passport because they employ chimps!. I have to travel all the way to Boston in the next few weeks just to get my Green Card renewed (For a 10 years). Its not like Boston is just next door either. It isnt... why the fuck they just cant post it to me is beyond me. Believe me if you ever want to move here permanently, theres a whole mess of shit and money you have to pay. I have been there and its only JUST coming to an end now after being here for like 4 years... Still sucks tho.
